Up until recently, the IATA had the same rule for all of its airlines regarding baggage weight limitations for all types of tickets and destinations.

Beginning in 2012, the rules have changed and each airline has its own regulations about luggage requirements. Similarly, up until a year ago, the permitted weight limitation was printed on the ticket.

This has also changed and no longer appears on the ticket. Therefore, as mentioned above, you should clarify the permitted weight limitations allowed by your ticket with your travel agent.

For your convenience, here is a link to a website that details luggage regulations:

LuggageAndBaggage/En_BaggagePolicy_150212.html

Try to adhere to these regulations as closely as possible, as the check-in clerks are very stringent on the matter and take into account each extra kg. or piece of luggage (they receive a commission for every extra dollar they charge.)
